Here are answers to some common questions parents have about our Newborn Portrait Sessions.
1. Who will be the photographer?
Your newborn portraits will be captured by the Blinky Pinks photography team. In case of a team shoot, this will be communicated in advance.
2. Where will the photoshoot take place?
The shoot location is decided collaboratively based on what is most comfortable for the newborn. Newborn sessions are best conducted indoors, either in a home setting or a studio environment.
3. When is the best time to schedule a newborn shoot?
Newborn portrait sessions are ideally done when the baby is between 5 to 20 days old.
4. Will clothing be provided for the newborn?
Yes. All outfits, wraps, and swaddles for the newborn are provided. These are selected to ensure a comfortable fit and to coordinate beautifully with the props and overall styling. Parents are requested to wear their own outfits.
5. What should parents and family members wear?
Light, solid-coloured outfits photograph best. Neutral and pastel shades such as white, cream, beige, peach, light blue, and yellow are recommended. Avoid bold prints or patterns.
6. What if the newborn is unsettled during the shoot?
We are flexible with time and work entirely around the baby’s comfort. Sessions are usually planned after the baby’s routine massage, bath, and feed to encourage deep sleep. If needed, the session continues at the baby’s pace.
7. When will the final images be delivered?
Final edited images are delivered within 30 days from the session date. A priority delivery option is available at an additional cost.
8. Do you provide props for newborn sessions?
Yes. A variety of newborn-safe props are available. Reference albums can be shared to help you choose your preferred style.
9. How early should we book a session?
Booking at least three weeks in advance is recommended. For specific dates or weekends, earlier booking is advised as slots may fill up quickly.
10. Are family portraits included in the session?
Yes. All newborn sessions include portraits with parents and siblings, if applicable.
11. How do you ensure newborn safety and hygiene?
All props, fabrics, and wraps are thoroughly cleaned and well maintained. Newborn safety is always the priority. Every setup is explained beforehand, no pose is forced, and the baby’s comfort and natural rhythm guide the entire session.
12. When is the best time for a newborn photoshoot?
The best time is within 5–15 days after birth. During this phase, babies sleep deeply and can be posed comfortably.
13. Is the newborn photoshoot safe?
Yes 🤍 Safety is our top priority. All poses are baby-led, gentle, and safe, with constant supervision.
14. How long will the newborn photoshoot take?
A newborn session usually takes 2–4 hours, allowing enough time for feeding, soothing, and diaper changes.
15. What should we bring for the shoot?
Just milk, diapers, wipes, and any special outfit or prop you’d like. We take care of wraps, props, and accessories.
16. Do you provide outfits and props for the baby?
Yes 🧸 We provide clean, sanitized outfits, wraps, headbands, and props based on the selected theme.
17. Can parents and siblings be included?
Absolutely ❤️ Parents and siblings are encouraged to join for beautiful family portraits.
18. Will you help with posing the baby?
Yes 😊 All poses are done patiently, following the baby’s comfort and natural movements.
19. Where will the newborn photoshoot take place?
The shoot can be done at our studio or at your home, depending on your preference.
20. What if my baby is fussy or crying?
No worries at all 🤍 We allow plenty of time for feeding and comforting. Baby’s comfort always comes first.
21. How many photos will we receive?
You’ll receive professionally edited, high-resolution images as per your chosen package.
22. When will we receive the final images?
Final edited photos will be delivered within 15–25 working days.
23. Do you provide albums and frames?
Yes 📸 Premium albums, frames, and wall art are available.
24. How do we book the newborn shoot?
Booking is confirmed with an advance payment. We recommend booking during pregnancy to reserve your slot.
